My name is Evan Hendricks. I was born January 2000 in New Orleans, LA.
I attended Trinity Episcopal School and am now a senior at Isidore Newman School. I am on the varsity tennis team and several of my art works have been featured in the school gallery. I continue to perform at the Trinity piano recitals twice a year.
Like most teenagers, I enjoy spending time with my friends. I am frequently at the tennis club gym, courts, and grill room. During breaks on school nights
I often run or walk my dog in the park. I also ride bikes with my parents. My dad always finds chores for me on the weekends. He says it is important to understand that all work is honorable.
I believe that community service is a valuable part of growing up. For the past five years I have been involved with the Southern Eye Bank and their Gift of Sight campaign. Recently, I have been donating my time and effort with the Military Order of The Purple Heart which assists our combat wounded veterans and pays tribute to the fallen.
I have started the college application process and am trying to determine which schools would be best for me. I want to attend a medium to large school with a strong athletic program I can support. I grew up in a large city and I would like a school that is in or near a metropolitan area. It is important to have a campus with a diverse academic environment. I plan to major in fine art and design and hope to someday develop my own style or create my own products. For now I simply want to enjoy my teenage years with a healthy mix of fun and study.
